Just got this in from the big collection sale advertised in Banzai. Nearly everything else was gone by the time my Banzai came. I was really hoping for it to be a 37mm "tank" round but this is still a nice example. It has a faint "94 gun" marking on the case and the tin (or aluminum) fuse cap & pull tape is still intact.

Thanks sailor! I was very pleased when it came today & turned out to be as nice as it is for $75
Now, of course a new thing like this generates new questions. I haven't seen the protective fuse cover in photos or drawings of these. Please tell me that's super rare! ;) Another thing is on the base. There is some remaining adhesive over the primer area. Of course my first thought is that is was from a price tag & I was thinking of removing it. Thing is, I have a 'like new' T-89 knee mortar round & it has the remaims of a paper cover over the bottom of the base, so??? Whatcha think? The adhesive looks pretty old.
I tried to edit photos in the original post - can you do that? Anyway, here's some more.

How is that for my spanglish ?, nice 37mm anti-tank round, what is the case length ?, is the fuse marked T-93 ? .

Dude, how's that for Kalifornia? ;) The case is 6 9/16". Actually, this is the HE round. The fuse cover has never been off - want me to yank the tape & look? ;)

A-Dogs, I see that even the primer area had a seal over it at one time.Very well preserved
unit.Do not disturb history by removing cover, otherwise you will then have to start hunting for a Fuze wrench.LOL!

Naw Adogs :
remember 3 dog nite ? try explaining that to a Spanish speaker that your rock group ia called " noche de tres perros ", they give you a blank look and realize you been in the states too long.
So you have the anti-tank gun case length. The AP round I got for Linda at Del Mar two years ago came my way for 45.00 I was not about to complain as Wally had a similar one inside his case for 150. The seller saved it for me !.
No need to get crazy, that old tape is original, all "artillery" ammo had a seal over the primer, it would burn off when fired, at times you will see cases where you still see the shadow of the tape. Most complete rounds I have seen have the primer struck after disassembly, the powder being trown away, same for the filler in the HE cavity and the fuse has the gaine discarded and in most cases the detonator popped off.
Can't tell you much regarding the safety pin & flag / string pull off, have not seen enough to form an opinion.
It appears to be painted in the later style of yellow band location. Wonder what date and make is the projo & case .

The projectile is dated Showa 17.12 and is made at a Nagoya subcontractor that looks like it might be TALW?? The second mark is under the white paint. Tha case is dated 17.10 and is Osaka made. The primer has not been struck.

No worries the inside of the primer has been gutted & the projectile is totally safe.

A-dogs, projectile by TALW ??!! Let's see the marking photos !
Edokko, that was just a WAG. It's a diamond with the overlapping corners. The middle is covered with the white paint of the number 8. I can't even make anything out with my loop. I've seen other logos with the overlapping diamond so it could be any one of them. Didn't mean to be misleading ;)
