Anyone have any good loads w/it?Alsoi for 7.62x54r,303,7.7,?
Are you looking for just data or for an actual first hand experience ? IMHO its too slow to be optimal for any of those except with a heavier than normal bullet . Accurate lists data for it in 54R, 303 and 8mm

7.62x54R with Accurate 3100

Unless you're planning on shooting 200gr+ bullets from an M91 barrel (30"), powders in the range of IMR4895 to about H4350 should be sufficient to get good velocity without much waste at all. I use IMR4320 and H4350 with good results under both 150gr and 174gr bullets.

I'd like both loads and any 1st hand use.I've gotten excellent groups with h4831sc & 200gr bullets in my 8mm. I believe mr3100 is similar.(I just bought 2 lbs for $5)

Although shooting way high(my scope is set for my hunting load & I don't adjust it) this powder is proving to be excellent.

I've used only 200gr. bullets in 7.92x57. 45.5 grains has given me excellent accuracy w/sierra matchkings(and pretty good w/speer too).I wouldn't use this charge for hunting though, as their are faster/better choices. its listed by accurate for "american" 8x57 w/under 35000 psi pressure. But if you 're shooting paper it can't be beat.I'm having stellar accuracy also in 7.62x54r w/180gr/174gr bullets.HTH.

I pulled some 1940's 8mm Turkish surplus today. The bullet weighs in average 150gr. I loaded (per Lee data for 150gr. jacketed) 47.7gr. 3100 with the 3.4 dipper, Remington case, CCI 200/WLR primer.

Possible range time is forcasted...hopefully.

turkish 8mm

have thousands of rounds . got them during clinton adm. as a safty net.use in my german g98 and k98 rifles. they have a hell of a kick, so i pull the bullets ,dump the powder, recharg with 44.0 grains of imr 4895. accurate, and much more comfortable to shoot. use the jacketed steel bullet that i pull. just reseat. works fine. have several other shooters useing them also. gotzguns

What did you do with the pulled powder? Why not try it for your handloads? If you're 'gonna trash it, send it to me. I'll buy.

dumped power

armyrat, i dump it, of no use to me. i bought out a whole load of powder several years ago. a friend of a friend of mine was getting put of reloading so i bought up all his unopened powder, which included 35 pounds of 4895 in 5 lb. jugs. also bought all his primers and bullets. were talking alot of stuff. he said if i give him $300.00 in cash it was all mine. i don't think i'll need to buy bullets, primers,or powder for two or three hundred years.i packed all that stuff around for years, now i'm glade i did. gotzguns

gotzguns,

Where are you located? Maybe one of our members would even pay you a little to take it off your hands!Seems a sin to just dump it!
