At a show today, I saw a 6 round box of crimped blanks in .30 carbine. Box was dirty but intact, and all six were inside. All printing looked legible. Is this stuff very common? Never even heard of it before!

Thanks for the information, and correcting me on the difference, re: blanks vs. grenade cartridge. Now I appreciate the difference, kind of like clip vs. magazine.

If I remember, the crimp seemed to be a six or eight pointed fold. And I don't recall the indented "neck" area shown in your photo.

A man had the bow displayed with a mix of other old milsurp items, but said he wasn't sure of the origin. I asked here on the forum, in case it was an uncommon survivor of WW2. The bow was dated July 1944.
