I found this 30-40 dummy among some 30-40 cartridges that I had put away some years ago. The headspamp is a large 2 at 9 oclock, a large F at 12 oclock and a small 02 at 3 oclock

This appears to be an original dummy but do not know - anyone have some information Robert

That's the standard Cal .30 Dummy, 3rd Model, 1903 version. Head stamp means Feb 1902, although dummies were often made from seconds or reject cases so the date may not reflect exactly when it was made.
