This scan is from the 1994 Shotgun News depicting a Navy Arms ad for the newly imported L39, L42 and L59A1 (drill rifles). The prices were outrageous at the time but then times change.

breakyp, Yeah, looking back can be bitter sweet, eh? The important thing is that, for whatever reason, the MoD SOS'd some of the L42s...I am grateful for that.

The day that Shotgun News came I called and ordered. The L39's lasted a few days or a week. The L42's sold out to all the guys that get SN sent fedex or expressed. Saw Val at the Md MAC show and bought two L42's. One for $800 without the chest and $1200 (new rifle...) with the chest. The L59's lasted over a year, then sold to some school down south...
I miss Val and the old days.

Thanks for posting. Need to do an analysis between the % increase in the stock market and these....hummmmm
