Hello Fellow Shooters, I just got a 900 round sealed tin in a sealed crate for 150.00 total from a buddy. What does the M49 mean ????, The 1952 thru 1954 Yugo 8mm Ammo does NOT say M49 on the boxes or containers.
Please Help with more Info on these different 8mm Yugo ammo ??, Thanks Much

Good stuff if you have an extra power mainspring (22-24 lbs). Some of the primers are hard/ deep.

I believe M49 refers to the specific parameters of the load the Yugos adopted in 1949. It is different from the earlier M38 load, though I know not how. Yugo ammo was designated M49 into the 80s and perhaps later.
