My 48 is the best looking Mosin Nagant that I have. Of course, I have a 46 that is as good...well...2 actually. 46 - 48...the best!:D

My 46, 47, and 48 unissued non refubed M44's were the nicest mosins I had.

Nice rifle; my own 1948 Ishevsk M44 is outshined only by my unissued Polish M44. Is the bolt really as rough as it looks in the photos?

No. I just pulled the rifle out of the rack and looked at it, as compared to the photograph. Apparently, my digital camera is picking up some glare or something, from the flash. Who knows, maybe Gremlins at work with the digital camera. :eek:
