Been quite a Big 5 Tula M44 dry spell of late ! picked this one up from them today, Tula M44 # 6 , not a new prefix but only second one on survey. ( Backwards N, "ee" ) N P 164.

My 2 M44 Tula's For The List

If you have any 1944 Tula and it isn’t on my list, I’d appreciate you contributing it to the survey (especially if the prefix isn’t on the list or the serial number is higher than any of the ones I have listed).

A clear picture of the barrel shank posted here is the best way to report your number (as it allows me to see the font used in 1944 and “No”), but I appreciate any information you can give me.

It's a low wall Tula receiver. I can't read the tang date it either isn't there or it's too corroded to be visible.

Here's another one I just picked up:
1944 Tula High Wall M38 in a M44 stock no rebuild marks evident. Receiver is Tula marked I cannot read date or it just may not be there.

Just picked on up with a serial number of "LM" 767. It's just like a regular m44 except that the reciever is Tula 1943.

Picked up my 1944 Tula M-44 at a gunshow a few weeks back. All matching except for the buttplate.

Assuming that "OP" means Original Poster, I'm still lurking around. I guess I haven't posted an update for a while, so I've updated the first couple of posts in the thread. Not too much new - several carbines have been added, but they haven't led to any revelations. Keep them coming though!
