part 11 of the updates pics series

previous thread 1943 byf K98k (Russian Capture)

my second milsurp and the first milsurp i purchased... bought at dunhams when it wasn't on sale (i just wanted one) everything matches, EPed bolt, id tag under buttplate, VI 44 dated stock, came with sling

the rest of the photos

i tried searching for the name on my buttplate but couldn't find anything... would have loved to have been able to send the guy a letter and some photos

bayonet was purchased from a member who's name escapes me for $75 a bit over a year ago.. it was the closest he had to the serial on my rifle came with the wrong frog and the correct frog was purchased from guisan over at swissrifles.com

the helmet in the below photo was purchased from a vendor at a local d-day reenactment for $24 i may add some detailed pics of it soon

Well Marcel Mouron was the treasurer of the Société de laiterie du Mont-Pélerin (milk association of Mont-Pélerin) till 1995 and in 2003 another Mouron became a administrator there, there is a good chance that he is a relative or at least able to learn you more about Marcel.
They both speak French...
