I usually stick to the 1920's Nagants but I know we've had some discussion on these small logo 43 Izvesk Nagant's being somewhat unusual. Thus I thought I'd post the one I received today. I bought it off the trader from fellow board member edward_tinker (thanks Ed). It's in excellent condition and the bore looks great even though it appears to still have a light smearing of cosmolene. Refurb with all Izvesk parts except for the hammer. It's Tula star marked. The frame and cylinder serials match. I haven't taken it apart to check the side plate for a serial number. The only bad thing about it is the ugly R Guns import mark. Please R Guns change the mark on these.:) Other than the mark I really like this little Nagant and its my nly 1940's example.

Here's a picture of a small Tula mark on Maxim top feed cover which I believed to have been replaced during a rebuild/repair.

I think it supports the claim made last time that these marks signify replacent items fitted during rebuilds.
