So I just traded my '42 Izhevsk 91/30 for a '42 Tula 91/30 and was thinking of adding a repo scope/scope mount on it, what do you guys think?

I would not add a PU/PE scope to a non ex-sniper. I would enjoy the M91/30 for what it is, an artifact of history, the main battle rifle of the Soviet Union. If you are interested in a sniper clone, there are inexpensive ones out there. Although, I wonder if this is a type of Bubba-ism. Of course, I tend to over think things. :(

I wouldn't. A 1942 Tula M91/30 is pretty uncommon in it's own right.
Thanks for the info...I will just grab a ex sniper or more common 91/30 maybe a '42 or '43 izhevsk.

Visit SAMCO. They have real 91/30 snipers sans scope for $229. You can get a repro scope, mount etc for about $200. This is what I did for my PU shooter. Of course you can visist R Guns and buy a real PU for $800.

My two cents.

Wow the ex sniper might be the route to go. Too bad that big 5 doesn't have any more ex snipers.
