Personally, I believe all Mosins are a good investment (even before this 4 million meltdown scare). But any model/make genuine sniper rifle has always been sought after by collectors - at least I think so. Why would ex-snipers be any different? This is why when I see ex-snipers mixed in with regular 91/30's I'm on 'em
like stink on poop. This particular one was mixed in at my local gun store - and get this - there were two 91/30's priced at 109.95 and the rest were all 149.95. Well, as luck would have it, this was one that was priced at 109.95. I know that's a little expensive but being an ex-sniper I didn't mind plopping down the money. Even better, this was the nicest one on the rack.

Looks like a nice PEM, tougher to get than a PU but much more expensive to rescope.
I would have to disagree. I have come across far more PEM 1942 dated rifles than PU.
Still a nice rifle! I would not have passed at that price either.
