VERY nice find, OP! I've got 2 Finn captured M38's, my 1939 is in a 1st pattern stock like yours with a mismatched bolt, and I've got a 1941 "D" marked Izhevsk M-38 with a mismatched buttplate. Both excellent shooters, and I took a HUGE 10-point buck with the 1941 back in November 2014 in Upstate NY. 馃榿

Wow! 2nd 1st pattern stock m38 I鈥檓 aware of completely matching and original

mine is all matching.. minus floor plate :(
They are quite uncommon. I was aware of one other besides mine when I lucked into one at my lgs. I鈥檓 sure there are others but not many. Here is a link to a post I made when I got mine, the metal is considerably more worn than the OP鈥檚 and there is a crack in the hand guard but all the parts do match.

OP you have a beautiful rifle. I love the carbines.

Wow! Pretty awesome there. Just has such a nice patina on the stock and metal. All those original years added up. Very nice find! Very wow!
