I have a K98 Bayonet with matching scabbard that was brought back by a family friend after WWII. On one side of the scabbard is stamped 8404 with a small "f" under that number. On the other side is stamped W.K.C. with 1937 under those letters. On one side of the blade is stamped the same 8404 with the small "f". On the other side is W.K.C. What do all these markings mean? Both are in good condition. The bayonet was attached to a K98 DOU 43 that I recently sold and the buyer did not want the bayonet. What is a value range?

WKC is Weyersberg,Kirschbaum and Co 8404 is serial munber f is the block number, would have started 0001 a to 9999a then 0001 b and so on. Go to ebay for prices it all depends on how much someone wants one on any particular day. If the scabbard is dent free and no sharpening 125-200 would be a good range.Looks to be a nice piece. If I saw it on someones table for the right price I would pick it up
