Found a Chilean Mauser at a local shop that is still in the original caliber and excellent condition. The asking price is just under 300 USD. The gun is all matching but the bolt, but it is only off 2 digits. The receiver is still in the white, and the blue is somewhere between 95% and 98%.

Is this a good deal?

At that price I would march back down there and pick it up before someone else does.

No kidding. IIRC, Chileans are often mismatched as the bolts were stored separate from the guns in an attempt to cut down on all those pesky coups.

I have one in 7.62 NATO and it is still a lovely gun.
