Hope I got the correct board this time --------- I was on the numric site looking for parts for another project , Came upon a listing for an extended magazine for 1903 springfileds says you lower the old floor plate and snap this in , Has a small chain on the side Anyone ever hear of this ? Is it original ? Loads 10 rounds

The US used a version of this in world War 1, only they were of 25 round capacity. The Germans also used something similar in a 20+ round size.

As best I know, a 10 rounder wouldn't be original.

The U.S. WWI extention magazine did not have a chain on it to hold a pin to retain the follower and spring. The German ones did. I think the 10 rounder is a commercial item, not a U.S. military item.

the magazine the Sarco and Gunjunk sells is a home made job. the originals were modified BAR magazines.
