So, I found a source for 1895 bolt heads (Century) and ordered up a couple for the extractors. Are the bolt heads interchangeable or are they they "fit" for headspace? Swapping out a bolt head is pretty easy....swapping out the extractor only is a bit more work.

Thanks!

Id say the heads are identical.....the dimension is easily maintained in production.......anyhoo,if you are in doubt ,measure your existing head against the replacement......you can easily see and feel a few thou difference.

There are three bolt head sizes, the letter code should be stamped on it I think somewhere between the lugs. The maker's stamp K (Steyr) or R (Budapest) is usually on the cylindrical body somewhere.

K: Short
M: Middle
L: Long

I do not know the exact measurement differences between the three.

Made no difference on my Dutch 95, headspace is good, probably a good idea to measure and see if there is a difference between old and new.
Thanks for the heads up, I should order one so I have a spare extractor.
