03A3 stock advice

I've gathered up the parts to assemble an 03A3 and have been looking around for a stock for what will be a "knock-about" shooter based on a re-activated Remington drill rifle receiver.

I recently became aware that Brownells sells a Minelli stock that is prefinished. From what I can tell from their website, it looks pretty good and I'm wondering if anyone has had experience with this product that they would be willing to share with me. Also, the stock does not come with a hand guard but availability doesn't seem to be an issue as several vendors say they have them in stock. Where would I start in terms of a stain to try and match the Minelli?

Any advice you might offer would be much appreciated.

I would need pictures, however, Chestnut Ridge military stain will restore to very near the color that was issued from the factory. You will need to clean the HG with Denatured Alcohol and this make take some time to remove the grease and crud from the wood. After you get the color matching, then rub in several coats of Raw Linseed Oil(2 days between light coats). It should come out something like this. Good luck and regards, Rick.
