  1. The Military Mauser Forum
Greetings all, I recently bought a Colombian FN Mauser chambered in 30-06, I would appreciate any assistance or guidance in trying to ID this rifle further. I have done some research on the different models and I always hit a dead end as the features of my rifle match similar models. I loaded a...

Hey gang, Here's the first of a large haul (17 bayonets in total) that I acquired at the start of September, 2023. This is a First Pattern 1837 Brunswick bayonet. These were used with the P1837 Brunswick rifle, which replaced the aging Baker rifle. This is the second-earliest British bayonet...

Hey gang, While I was in looking at the Officer's parade sword, I decided to inquire about a dagger the seller had in his collection. He pulled it out for me and I took some photos. He marked it as a naval dagger (though there is no anchor symbol anywhere on the blade, hilt, or scabbard, only...
  4. The Czech Weapons Board
Hey guys, I found a pair of czech mausers for sale a few weeks ago. The lighter one is an 8mm Brno vz24. The top one is a 7mm Mauser. They were both being offered for $550 each. Not sure if matching, I doubt they were. I passed because I felt they were too pricey. Bores were good not great. The...

Hey gang, Here is another bayonet that I picked up recently, the Swedish fm/1913 bayonet. Initially, I wasn't quite sure what this was, but someone was able to help me identify that it was a Swedish bayonet, specifically an m/1914. It wasn't until recently when I was looking the bayonet over...

Hey gang, Initially, I was hesitant to purchase this bayonet simply because there are so many of them, but considering this was the only one I found in the entire city, I didn't want to let it slip through my fingers. I'm intrigued by what I can learn from this bayonet since I've read that they...

Hey gang, Here is the final M1884/98 III of the trio, and the best shape of them all. Compared to the 1936 variant I posted about, this one appears to be almost brand new, but I have my suspicions. I wouldn't have purchased the rusted 1936 variant in its condition if the price wasn't so cheap...

Hey gang, Here is another M1884/98 III that I picked up. The maker's mark on one side of the Ricasso reads "E. u. F. Hörster" and on the other side is the serial number "5099 over e". There is a "38" stamp on the spine for the production year. There is a WaA stamp near the tang but ahead of the...

Hey gang, I purchased this alongside the Krag bayonet (and others that you'll see later), despite the condition it is in, and I'll explain why in a future post. From the research I have been doing prior to and after purchasing it, it appears to be an M1884/98 III ("III" being the "third...

Hey gang, I'm not sure where else to post this, but please redirect me if it's wrong, so sorry in advance if this deviates from the forum subject matter. I went to a museum attraction with an outdoor pioneer village exhibit yesterday, and near one of the buildings was this cannon. At first, I...

Hey gang, Been meaning to post about this one. While picking up my bayonets, one of the sellers asked me if I could help in identifying a sword and its markings that just came in, as it wasn't one like they'd seen before. I took a few photos, hopefully, it's enough to get a good sense of what...

So I've seen this Italian attributed ammo pouch, and I've found one more of the same type through a quick google, but none of the sellers seem to have any more information - so could anyone help give me maybe a gun it might be from, or maybe a rough date on it?

First time posting. I believe this is a police issue magazine, but don't know much else besides that. I'm hoping someone out there can tell me a bit more about the stamp on the bottom, possibly its year of manufacture. There are no stamps on the body of the mag, just the stamps shown here. Thanks!

A friend of mine recently got this bayonet at an estate sale. We were wondering what it's value may be, and something about it's origin. Also, where would something like this sell best?

A while ago, I got a 1887 IV 1 Martini Henry in .577 Snider. It's mixture of Nepalese and British wood markings have always puzzled and fascinated me, I'd like some help figuring them out. I have some theories about some of them, but I really wont some assistance from someone who actually knows...

I acquired this M1 and I am trying to ascertain as much information as I can about it. From what research I have been able to do thus far, it appears to be from 1957. However, unknown about much else. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. I have pics included that may help. On a...
