If it is as stated, it is a nice 1936 Mauser. New seller, may not have it all figured out yet.

not at all, sir. i get the same questions, but sometimes it's pretty obvious that the listing is a hoax, sometimes not.
there's a guy on gunbroker selling "original" colt python boxes, and occassionally the gun that allegedly goes in them. I'm a colt collector and i called him on one of his listings; he had a stainless python that he was calling electroless nickel. the end flap on the box even said so. the problem was, colt didn't make electroless nickel pythons for that year (per serial number). the seller cancelled the auction and relisted it two days later as a stainless, WITH THE ORIGINAL BOX marked stainless! the fakes are very well done and i'm sure will fool some buyer. these dirtbags just make it harder for the rest of us to safely buy and sell.
